Red, white and blue sparkler cupcakes!

Being a food blogger can be very strange. You'll do things before the holidays so you can make them available to your readers in time to prepare them for the upcoming holiday. This leads to Thanksgiving side dishes in October and Christmas cookies in November.

Or, like last week, they're chasing sparklers in June. And then light the sparklers in your house – all for a photo – and pray that the fire alarm does not go out and wake up the babies napping upstairs.

Now that I've made it, I'm in love with sparklers in cupcakes! Do not you want one for every holiday, birthday, celebration or every Monday?

Below I have linked my favorite cupcake recipe for the vanilla cupcake base. Then I shared the recipe for my favorite vanilla frosting recipe. It contains truncates that I know some of you do not like, but it gives the icing the best texture and makes it taste like icing in many bakeries.

It's still more butter than shortening … and even my friend, who hates shortening, said, "Damn, that's amazing frosting!". However, if you still do not trust me, you can replace all the butter. ?

Finally, fill the cupcakes with a strawberry and make your way to your party! When you're ready to serve these babies, put in a sparkler and light them! (Sparkler Note – Use those that are not wrapped in paper – they work best.)

Happy Fourth of July from my family to you! I hope you all have a great holiday and enjoy the fireworks! We'll be home … and pray for the fireworks they're hosting at a big party in our clubhouse (like … less than a quarter mile away). Do not wake the babies. Pooh.

Add powdered sugar and whisk at low speed until everything is smooth.

Pipe on cupcakes with your favorite tip. Top with a strawberry.
